A multi-regional red wine, with grapes sourced from both the Lisboa and Dão regions of Portugal. For example, the 2022 vintage blends 66% Alfrocheiro from Tazem (Dão) and 34% Touriga Nacional from Torres Vedras (Lisboa). APRT3 Wines, founded in 2018, operates on a "winemaking on wheels" concept, traveling across Portugal to identify and select high-quality grapes from distinct regions and native varieties. This approach allows them to craft a balanced blend each year, representing their interpretation of the current season.

The viticulture for Monda Tinto involves hand-harvesting grapes, which are then spontaneously fermented with wild, indigenous yeasts. The winemaking process reflects a commitment to minimal intervention. Grapes are subjected to foot treading and undergo alcoholic fermentation, lasting approximately seven days. After gentle pressing, the wine is transferred to old French oak barrels, typically four to eight years old, where it completes malolactic fermentation and ages for a period of time, such as 13 months for the 2022 vintage. The wine is bottled unfiltered, with a minimal addition of sulfur upon bottling, aligning with natural winemaking principles.

APRT3 Wines is committed to sustainable practices throughout its operations. They avoid the use of additives in their wines beyond a minimal amount of sulfites, and sometimes none at all. They exclusively source grapes from vineyards that practice sustainable agriculture, partnering with farmers dedicated to protecting and conserving their land and surrounding ecosystems. The company actively contributes to a circular economy and a greener carbon footprint by purchasing products and services locally around their headquarters and supporting local businesses. In their cellar, they avoid plastic, use cardboard for boxes and tape, and utilize organic wax for bottle corks. They also engage in waste recycling and are developing new labels from recycled materials. APRT3 practices fair trade by purchasing grapes from remote locations at reasonable prices, aiming to preserve Portugal's over 250 indigenous grape varieties. They work with farmers to promote the revival and protection of these unique crops.

Tasting notes for Monda Tinto often describe a wine with a fresh and focused profile. For instance, the 2022 vintage offers aromas that are herbal and forestry, with subtle scents of blueberries and spices. On the palate, the wine is noted for its soft body, fresh character, and rounded, soft tannins. It is designed as a balanced, crisp, and clean "classic" wine that represents the diverse regions and varieties of Portugal.
