Galactic Wines was launched in 2018 by Leli and Miguel Viseu. It’s a tiny négociant project producing a few thousand bottles of Sarava a year.
Leli is a journalist by trade, but freelances as a project manager for ONG’s when not taking the natural wine world by storm. While Miguel is not only the head winemaker at Aphros, but has spent much of his life traveling the world honing his skills. “When I was a kid, I didn’t have an imaginary friend, I had an imaginary family. I always called them my galactic family. So the name Galactic Wines symbolizes wines created from my imagination.”
Their mission is to provide consumers with high-quality low-intervention wines that highlight local varieties. Authenticity and sustainability are the foundation of their business.
