An aromatized and fortified wine from the Douro Valley, crafted with a focus on organic production. The viticulture for the base wine utilizes grapes from certified organic vineyards, including Moscatel and other traditional white varieties indigenous to the Douro. This commitment to organic farming and sustainability ensures the quality and purity of the base wine and botanicals used in the final product. The winemaking process is a careful art of blending. The base wine is fortified with grape spirit and then infused with a unique blend of botanicals, including bitter orange, cinchona bark, wormwood, gentian, and spices such as cardamom and cinnamon. The "Winter" name directly references the selection of these botanicals, which evoke the aromas and flavors of the winter holiday season. The final product has a deep ruby red color and a complex aroma of orange peel, cinnamon, clove, and a pleasant herbal bitterness. On the palate, it is rich and sweet, with a balanced acidity and a persistent, bittersweet finish. The flavors of dried fruit, spices, and refreshing citrus zest are prominent, making for a sophisticated and layered vermouth.

Quevedo

The feeling of optimism and the word of passion are carved into the Quevedo family, who have been grape growers and port producers for 5 generations. Despite trying times, Oscar Sr. found the brand Quevedo in 1993, which started a new era for the family, since they could bottle port under their own label. While this was great news for the family, as the upcoming generation, Claudia and Oscar Jr. had very different career paths in mind. Claudia fell in love with wine since her youth and she wanted to be a winemaker, even though her parents were skeptical about it. After completing her studies at Vila Real she joined Oscar Sr. in 1999 as a winemaker and ensured that the business had a future in the family.
