Divin(h)o

The Vinho Verde producer Divin(h)o, centered at the historic Quinta do Pinheiro estate, is distinguished by an exceptional commitment to regenerative viticulture. It offers a unique profile for educated wine enthusiasts, elevating it beyond mere organic status.

The project, led by winemaker Fausto Duarte Bicho Barbosa de Araújo, operates on a profound philosophy of respect for the land, exemplified by its organic certification through Kiwa Sativa. More importantly, it is deeply dedicated to syntropy, which drives Araújo's mission to actively regenerate the vineyard soils and foster a highly complex, healthy "eco-vinicultural system" across the property's modest 1.5 hectares of over 50-year-old vines. This focus involves going beyond standard organic practices by integrating sophisticated ecological techniques, including the deliberate creation of specific syntropic niches around the vineyard areas and the thoughtful inclusion of animals into the farming cycle—all designed to increase biodiversity, enhance soil vitality, and reduce the need for external inputs.

This holistic and regenerative approach, where the aim is to give back to the land and create a coherent cycle, ensures the long-term health of the entire ecosystem and naturally favors the production of authentic, high-quality grapes, positioning Divin(h)o as a leading, future-forward voice in Portugal’s natural and ecologically conscious wine movement.
