Textura wines are a family project born from a passion for Portugal's Dão region and a dedication to showcasing its unique terroir. Launched in 2018 by Marcelo Araujo and his family, Textura focuses on organic viticulture, terroir-driven wines, and a touch of wine tourism.

Between the slopes of Serra da Estrela, Portugal's tallest mountain range, the Dão region boasts a unique combination of climate and geography. Textura sources grapes from 28 hectares of vineyards across eight plots in Vila Nova de Tazem and Penalva do Castelo. These vineyards vary in altitude, exposure, soil composition, and microclimate, allowing for diverse expressions in their wines.

Winemaker Luís Seabra is the mastermind behind Textura's liquid artistry. He champions a philosophy of minimal intervention, allowing the grapes and the land to speak for themselves. This translates to practices like organic farming, fermentation with indigenous yeasts, and separate vinification of grapes from each parcel. This meticulous approach ensures that each bottle of Textura reflects the specific character of its origin within the Dão region.

Textura produces a range of wines reflecting a blend of traditional Dão grape varieties. Some prominent examples include Tinta Roriz, Touriga Nacional, Jaen, Encruzado, and Bical. These blends and minimal intervention winemaking result in elegant and distinct wines. They are known for their balance, freshness, and vibrancy, reflecting the Dão's cool climate and granite soils.
