Saravá's Loureiro Branco is a vibrant expression of the Loureiro grape, a variety indigenous to the Vinho Verde region of Portugal. The vines, often trained in pergola or espalier systems, thrive in the region's cool, maritime climate, benefiting from coastal breezes and ample rainfall. The grapes are typically hand-harvested early in the morning to preserve their freshness and aromatic compounds.

The winemaking process at Saravá emphasizes minimal intervention, allowing the natural character of the grapes to shine. This 100% Loureiro white wine undergoes a unique fermentation process. After destemming and a short skin contact, 65% ferments and ages in stainless steel tanks for a clean and crisp character. The remaining 35% is split between chestnut barrels for richer notes and clay amphoras for a touch of earthiness, creating a complex and layered final wine.

Saravá's Loureiro Branco is a light and elegant, pale, straw-yellow wine. The aroma is a captivating blend of citrus notes, particularly lemon and lime, with floral undertones and a hint of green apple. The wine is crisp and refreshing on the palate, with a vibrant acidity that balances the fruit sweetness. The finish is clean and persistent, with a lingering citrusy aftertaste.

This wine is a versatile companion to a variety of dishes. It pairs exceptionally well with seafood, such as grilled fish, shellfish, and sushi. Its refreshing acidity also complements light salads and vegetable dishes. It can also be enjoyed as an aperitif, especially when chilled.
