Nua & crua - 2022 - Vinho Espumante Extra Bruto Branco

This biodynamically produced sparkling wine is crafted primarily from Baga grapes, a native Portuguese variety known for its vibrant acidity and aromatic profile. To add a touch of complexity, a small percentage of a super-acid white grape variety from Bairrada is blended in. Unlike a pét-nat, this sparkling wine undergoes two distinct fermentations, following the traditional method. After the second fermentation in the bottle, the wine rests on its lees for a lengthy period of 16 months, allowing for greater depth and complexity. Unlike many sparkling wines, Nua & Crua is not disgorged, meaning the lees remain trapped within the bottle, providing a unique and authentic drinking experience that captures the wine's true essence.
