A distinctive skin contact wine, characterized by its gold-yellow hue and rich aromas of heavy dry fruits and minerals. This complex and intense wine offers a long and pleasant finish, making it an exceptional choice for wine enthusiasts.
Crafted from a field blend of indigenous white grape varieties, including Fernão Pires, Arinto, Vital, Moscatel-Graúdo, Málvasia-Rei, and Alicante Branco, the grapes are sourced from the estate's old vineyard, with vines dating back to 1948. The wine is produced in the IVV Lisboa region, highlighting the unique terroir of the area.
The 2020 harvest was conducted manually in August, and the fermentation process involved a natural method with seven days of skin contact in a traditional lagar. Following fermentation, the wine was aged for ten months on its lees in stainless steel vats, allowing for a refined development of flavors. It is gently filtered and may contain some sediment.
Branco de Curtimenta pairs beautifully with seafood dishes and soft meats, and it is best served at a temperature of 12ºC. The wine was bottled in June 2021, with a release date in March 2022, and a total of 2,250 bottles were produced, each with a volume of 500 ml. This wine is designed to be enjoyed from 2022 to 2030, promising a delightful experience for years to come.
