About Associação Animarco

Founded in 2006, Associação Animarco is a dedicated, non-profit organization committed to rescuing, caring for, and finding loving homes for animals in need. Beyond rescue operations, they actively promote awareness about the crucial importance of sterilization and responsible pet care within the community.

How You Can Help: Donation Drive

We are seeking the following specific items to help Animarco meet the daily needs of the dogs and cats in their care.

Throughout the month of December, during all our regular open hours and at any of our events, we will be accepting essential donations to help the abandoned and abused animals under Animarco’s care.

Dog Food	Food for diabetic dogs Regular food for junior and adult dogs
Cat Food	Gastrointestinal food for junior and baby cats Wet food (pâté) for baby and junior cats
Cleaning Supplies	Cleaning detergents Black bleach Dishwashing liquid
Medical Supplies	Blankets for the dogs Medicines (even close to expiring or unused): antibiotics, anti-inflammatories, vitamins

Please Note: We cannot accept the following items at this time:

Cat beds
Food and/or water bowls

How You Can Help: Volunteering

For those who wish to offer more than a material donation, Associação Animarco is welcoming new volunteers! Please note that physical effort is required, especially when helping with the dogs.

Volunteer Tasks:

For Cats: General cleaning (sweep, mop, etc.).
For Dogs: Cleaning with a hose, feeding them, and taking them for a walk. Dogs require more physical effort.

Schedule and Coordination:

Timing: Ideally, volunteering should take place in the morning.
Feeding Time: Volunteers can walk the dogs first, and feeding is typically done between 11h-11h30.
Scheduling: Due to space constraints, only two people can assist with cleaning at the same time. It is essential to coordinate your visit in advance.
