Ameztoy & Almeida's Lagrima Port is a testament to the Douro's capacity for producing exceptional fortified wines. Crafted from a blend of old vines, this Port undergoes a unique vinification process. Half of the grapes are crushed, while the other half remain whole. Following a gentle pressing, the wine matures in traditional Port barrels and cement vats, resulting in a complex character after an average of four years.

Golden in hue, Lagrima boasts a deep, aromatic profile marked by notes of sweet figs, quince, and dried fruits. On the palate, it is opulent and generous yet maintains a remarkable balance. This Port's versatility is showcased by its ability to shine as an aperitif, complement foie gras, or enhance the flavors of sweet desserts. Its rich complexity invites experimentation with various pairings, promising a delightful culinary journey.

To fully appreciate Lagrima, it is recommended to serve it slightly chilled and allow it to breathe before enjoying it. Proper storage in a cool, dark place is essential to preserve its qualities.
