Aphros Evoé Rosé is a unique and refreshing wine produced in the Vinho Verde region of Portugal. It's crafted from a blend of indigenous grape varieties, primarily Loureiro and Alvarelhão, with a small percentage of Vinhão.

The grapes are sourced from farmed vineyards using biodynamic principles, emphasizing sustainability and environmental respect. This approach involves minimal intervention, allowing the grapes to express their true character. After harvest, the grapes are gently pressed, and a portion of spring water is added to the must, which is left to macerate for 12-24 hours. This technique, "água-pé," contributes to the wine's light, refreshing style.

The resulting wine is fermented in stainless steel tanks at low temperatures to preserve its delicate aromas and flavors. Aphros Evoé Rosé is a light-bodied wine with a pale pink color. It offers a captivating bouquet of red fruits, such as strawberry and raspberry, complemented by floral notes and a touch of citrus. The wine is crisp and refreshing on the palate, with a vibrant acidity that balances the fruit sweetness. The finish is clean and persistent, leaving a lingering impression of red berries.

This unique wine is perfect for those seeking a light and refreshing beverage. It is ideal for sipping on a warm day or pairing with light dishes such as salads, seafood, or grilled vegetables.

Aphros

Architect, educator, sculptor, and advocate of the Waldorf educational movement, Vasco Croft founded his winery on the family estate after an unusual encounter with a Buddhist monk. This event, which Vasco describes as a personal meeting with Dionysus. In 2003, he decided to start a wine project in Casal do Paço, a semi-abandoned estate that has been in his family since the 17th century.

Casal do Paço is now recognized as a model ecological winery committed to the preservation of its ecosystems that include not only vineyards but also entire forests of acacias, oaks, eucalyptus, and old trees, home to wild boars, foxes and eagles.
