Chinado's 2021 white wine is a product of meticulous winemaking. Sourced from three distinct plots, the wine comprises a blend of predominantly Fernão Pires, Vital, Arinto, and Alvarinho grapes, with one plot reserved for a field blend. Undergoing a traditional winemaking process, the grapes were de-stemmed and pressed, allowing a night's fermentation in tank before transfer to used 225-liter barrels for both fermentation and aging. Notably, this process occurred without temperature control, allowing for a natural expression of the grapes and terroir. The result is a wine embodying the Lisbon region's essence, offering a vibrant and refreshing palate characterized by citrus and white floral notes underpinned by a crisp mineral quality. Its balanced acidity lends a lively structure, making it a versatile companion for seafood and light summer fare.
