This red blend is crafted from hand-picked Touriga Nacional, Tinta Roriz, and Touriga Franca grapes, meticulously selected and placed in small 20kg boxes. Following de-stemming, the grapes ferment with indigenous yeasts for 15 days in stainless steel vats. This stainless steel vat fermentation preserves the wine's vibrancy and allows the grapes' character to shine through. Visually, the wine displays a medium to deep ruby color. On the nose, it offers a complex and well-balanced bouquet, with lively aromas of raspberries and plums taking center stage. The palate is elegant, featuring a light and subtle body with soft tannins. Serve this wine between 16°C and 18°C for optimal enjoyment.

Learn more about

Ládano

In the heart of northern Portugal, nestled amidst the breathtaking landscapes of Freixo de Espada-à-Cinta, lies a village steeped in tradition and renowned for its wine. This village in Northern Portugal boasts a centuries-old legacy of wine production, its people as resilient and enduring as the vines that grace the sun-drenched hills. Here, harsh summer sun gives way to the biting cold of Trás-os-Montes winters, forging a unique character in both the land and its inhabitants.

Daniel Costa, a fourth-generation Douro winemaker, embodies this very spirit. Drawing on his extensive experience and deep passion, he has embarked on a personal project in Ládano. These minimal-intervention wines are vinified using spontaneous fermentation, allowing the terroir to shine through and offering a truly captivating drinking experience.
