This is a testament to the distillery's commitment to locally sourced ingredients. It showcases a vibrant liqueur crafted with lemons from the distillery's own back garden. This artisanal approach ensures a fresh, authentic character that distinguishes it from mass-produced varieties.

Upon pouring, the spirit presents a classic, cloudy yellow hue, a natural result of the lemon essential oils central to its production. On the nose, it offers an immediate and intense bouquet of fresh lemon zest and candied lemon peel, with a subtle floral note that suggests lemon blossoms. The palate is a delightful balance of zesty brightness and a creamy, almost velvety texture. The initial burst of crisp lemon is followed by a well-measured sweetness that prevents the liqueur from being overly tart. Hints of herbal and pine notes, typical of quality lemon peels, add a layer of complexity to the clean, citrus-driven profile. The finish is long and refreshing, leaving a clean, zesty impression. This limoncello is best served chilled and versatile, perfect as a digestif on its own or as a vibrant ingredient in cocktails.

Little Faca

Little Faca is a distinctive and innovative micro-distillery project situated in the vibrant heart of Porto, Portugal. Co-owned by the couple Tom and Raquel, this small-batch producer operates from a compact 25-square-metre space. They meticulously craft a range of distilled drinks and liqueurs using a selection of fine Portuguese ingredients.

As one of the pioneers in the nascent field of Portuguese craft whisky, Little Faca has already embarked on its inaugural whisky project. They have laid down their first barrels, which are made from the heirloom Portuguese red corn known as 'Milho Rei'. The distillery, which began its production in March 2023, anticipates the release of this initial aged spirit in early 2027. The founders are also building more whisky stocks from other locally grown cereals, including rye and additional varieties of corn sourced from the North of Portugal.

Beyond their ambitious whisky venture, Little Faca has cultivated a creative and diverse spirits portfolio. Their gin, for instance, is a unique blend of Portuguese tangerine and olives, while their limoncello features zesty lemons harvested directly from their garden. Another notable creation is their imaginative Olive Liqueur. The distillery also welcomes visitors to their tasting room, where they can sample and purchase the products directly, offering a personal and immersive experience into the world of Little Faca.
