Grandfather Fernando Paiva only has two chestnut trees at Quinta da Palmirinha. The chestnut blossoms, which already replace the sulphites, are picked by the grandchildren Mariana, Tiago and João, the latter predisposed to become a winemaker. The rest are acquired externally.
