Quinta de Tourais' Miura Branco de Curtimenta 2023 is a unique white wine from the Douro region, produced from a blend of indigenous Portuguese grape varieties: Esgana Cão, Gouveio, Rabigato, and Viosinho. The grapes are hand-harvested from old vines grown on steep schist slopes, where they benefit from the region's hot, dry climate. The winemaking process involves traditional foot-treading in stone lagares for six days and aging in used French oak barrels for nine months. This extended skin contact and barrel aging impart the wine with its distinctive orange hue and complex flavors. The Miura Branco de Curtimenta 2023 offers a captivating aroma profile with notes of ripe stone fruit, dried apricot, and subtle floral nuances.
