An intellectually engaging and harmonious perspective on Vinho Verde, moving past the region’s simpler expressions to craft a wine of meticulous balance and depth. This expressive white blend features three estate-grown varieties—Arinto, Avesso, and Fernão Pires—each contributing a distinct layer to the final complexity. The production process is a deliberate exercise in traditional methodology, beginning with the grapes gently trodden by foot in granite lagares. This time-honored technique ensures soft, minimal extraction of phenolics. Crucially, each variety's musts are fermented separately in old cement tanks. This deliberate segmentation and choice of fermentation vessel allow the winemaker to precisely control and highlight the unique aromatic and structural qualities of each grape—Arinto’s acidity, Avesso’s body, and Fernão Pires’ floral lift—before the final blend, resulting in a more integrated and expressive wine than typical regional co-fermentations.

On tasting, the Analogue White encapsulates the expected Vinho Verde freshness but presents it with enhanced texture and complexity. It delivers a lively aromatic profile that balances the classic zesty and floral character typical of the region. Expect bright notes of citrus peel and green apple from the Arinto, which are beautifully softened by the richer stone fruit nuances imparted by the Avesso. The Fernão Pires adds a delicate, almost honeysuckle or jasmine high-note to the bouquet. The palate is dry, energetic, and remarkably well-structured, featuring vibrant, mouthwatering acidity that is elegantly rounded by a subtle, creamy texture inherited from the fermentation in cement. This is a wine that delivers clarity and vibrancy, finishing with a persistent, clean minerality that speaks directly to the Vinho Verde terroir, positioning the Analogue White as an excellent choice for those seeking a thoughtful, cellar-worthy white from the region.

RPM Wines

RPM Wines is a collaborative venture born from a shared passion for reviving the winemaking traditions of an old farm located in the lower Tâmega region, ten kilometers from the Douro River, in the transition zone between the Vinho Verde and Douro wine regions, also known as Minho. Ricardo Moreira, José Roseira, and Daniel Pires joined forces to harness the unique terroir of Quinta da Livração, a family-owned estate from 1935.

Located in a privileged south-facing position, protected from harsh winds and enriched by the mineral-laden soils of the Verín-Chaves-Vidago thermal vein, the farm offers an exceptional environment for grape cultivation. Four of the eleven hectares are dedicated to vineyards, while a diverse ecosystem, including a three-hectare forest and organic crops, covers the remaining land.

José Roseira, inheriting old vines from his grandfather, initiated the journey towards natural winemaking in the early 2000s. Through Daniel Pires ' cultural space, his encounter with Ricardo Moreira and Penhó wines solidified their shared vision of crafting authentic wines that reflect the farm's unique terroir.

With a focus on minimal intervention and a commitment to showcasing the true essence of the grapes, RPM Wines aims to produce wines that are both captivating and representative of their origins. By revitalizing the vineyards and embracing sustainable practices, they seek to create a lasting legacy for the farm and its exceptional terroir.
