A red blend of 12 different grape varieties sourced from five distinct vineyards boasting vines of considerable age. This field blend, a testament to the unique biodiversity of the Alentejo region, reflects the character of the diverse soils and microclimates within the estate. Meticulous hand-harvesting ensures the grapes reach the winery at peak ripeness.

Fermentation occurs naturally with indigenous yeasts, allowing the wine to express its true terroir. Following fermentation, malolactic conversion occurs, adding complexity and softening the wine's tannins. The wine then undergoes a 20-month aging period in semi-new 1000-liter oak barrels, imparting subtle nuances of spice and oak while preserving the vibrant fruit character.

On the palate, Vira Cabeças Tinto unfolds with a vibrant ruby hue and a captivating interplay of aromas. Expect a delicate bouquet of red berries, such as cherry and raspberry, intertwined with subtle notes of spice, earth, and a touch of minerality. The palate is a harmonious blend of flavors, showcasing a refreshing acidity that balances the fruit sweetness, while a subtle tannic structure provides a framework for aging. The finish is persistent, leaving a lingering impression of redberry fruit and a hint of spice.

This wine is a testament to Cabeças do Reguengo's dedication to minimal intervention and sustainable viticulture. The result is a wine that is both elegant and expressive, reflecting the unique terroir of the Alentejo. Vira Cabeças Tinto is a perfect pairing with a variety of dishes, from grilled meats to hearty stews.
