Uivo's Loureiro is a vibrant expression of the Lima sub-region, crafted from biodynamically farmed grapes in Ponte de Lima, Portugal. Grown on south-facing granite soils at an elevation of 100 meters, the Loureiro grapes are hand-harvested and undergo a unique winemaking process.

Fermentation begins with a traditional foot-treading in a lagar, where the grapes macerate for three days without the addition of sulfur dioxide. This allows for a natural fermentation and extraction of flavors. The wine then matures in a combination of cement eggs and used chestnut barrels, adding complexity and texture.

With minimal intervention throughout the process, including the addition of a small amount of sulfur dioxide before bottling (and no fining or filtration), Uivo's Loureiro showcases the pure essence of the Loureiro grape. This 2018 vintage offers a fresh and vibrant profile, with citrus and floral notes, and a hint of minerality.
