Tinto Cão shines as a solo act for this red wine, showcasing the grape's unique character. Hand-harvested in small boxes, the grapes undergo a six-day fermentation with indigenous yeasts in traditional lagares. Following fermentation, the wine rests for twelve months in used French oak barrels, integrating subtle oak characters with the earthy and wild fruit aromas of the Tinto Cão. On the palate, it's well-balanced and fresh, with elegant tannins and a focus on fresh wild fruit and earthy notes. This wine is a testament to the elegance and fruit-driven nature of the Tinto Cão grape.

Quinta de Tourais

Fernando Coelho is the face of Quinta de Tourais, a family-owned estate that has been in the family for four generations. The estate itself has a history dating back to the time of the Cistercian order, spanning all the way back to the 17th century. Fernando was previously a restaurant owner, but he decided to shift his focus and began making his first wines back in '99. However, his winemaking style has evolved over time. As his experience grew, so did his concerns, leading him to become a minimal-intervention producer.
