Douro

The Douro Valley, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, in northern Portugal is renowned for its dramatic landscapes and winemaking heritage. This region is particularly famous for producing Port, a fortified wine with a protected designation of origin

The landscape is characterized by steep, terraced vineyards that cling to rugged, sun-drenched hillsides along the Douro River. The climate is predominantly continental, with hot, dry summers and cold winters, which contributes to the unique terroir that defines the wines produced here.
